GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention all National Honor Society members - meet with Mr. Sparks today, Feb. 4, in the cafeteria beginning at 2:30 pm.

Need a place to study during lunch, need a quiet room to prepare for a quiz or test for 6th or 7th period.  Come to Mr. Sparks room 103 for study hall during B lunch daily.

Students all of your teachers have posted their lunch schedule outside of their classrooms.  Please take the time to review their schedules and use them to plan where you spend your time during lunch plus.  Our goal is to offer you a variety of places to go and to reduce the numbers of students in the halls.

Attention all SGA members: What are you waiting for?! If you still have not turned in your forms and money for the Delegate Trip to Ocean City; ALL FORMS AND MONEY ARE DUE THURSDAY FEBRUARY 4th!! Please see Mr. Morgan or Mrs. Ratcliff ASAP so you will be able to join us!

All SGA members and officers are required to attend a brief meeting today during A Lunch in Mr. Morgan's Room. We will have much to discuss and, YOUR FORMS ARE DUE. No excuses, please plan to attend.

Mr. Saunders' classed will meet in the auditorium today.

Anthropology seminar will meet during A and B lunch today and there is an important meeting for those who can attend after school today.

Parents: Attached is the Pax River summer jobs flyer updated with the 2010 salary figures. We'll begin screening resumes on February 1st. Please provide names to Karin Stewart above if your child is applying. She can't guarantee they will be hired, but she can guarantee their resumes will be considered if they are submitted by the due date.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc is sponsoring a talent hunt program was born out of the linited opportunities afforded to some American youth to develop and five full expression of their talents. This program provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistant to talented young high school students. Auditions are Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Westlake Senior High Shcook, Waldorf, MD and will begin at 10AM. The competition is open to students currently enrolled in grades 9-12 and will compete for cash prizes in the Performing Arts (Instrumental, Vocal, Drama and Dance) and Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpting and Photography) For more details, please contact Mr. Tony Hill at 240-417-1389.

J. Craig Venter Institute 2010 Internship Program - offers motivated high school undergraduate and graduate students as well as teachers the opportunity to nurture their interest in science by participating in cutting-edge genomic research at the Institute in both Maryland and California.The Institute will also hosts students interesed in other areas, such as law and IT.
